GGG Jewellery Co Founder Paris Fletchers fascination with jewellery began from the age of 4, when her beloved grandma Valerie would show Paris her vast jewellery collected from numerous antique shops and family heirlooms; some of her earliest memories are from her Grandma letting her try on her rings. From then on, Paris grew up knowing she wanted to create a life around jewellery.
After undertaking Higher education in Fashion Business and Fine Art, Paris worked in a Jewellers all while creating GGG Jewellery Co on her weekends off from university and work.
Paris stumbled across a silversmiths she had visited throughout growing up one Saturday afternoon and a spark was lit - the store which was a Derbyshire staple was closing as the owner Richard was retiring, and Paris had the idea of speaking to him about the possibility of reopening the little jewellery store on her own.
Thanks to Richard, Paris managed to be taken seriously as a 22 year old and was awarded the lease for her first shop.
With limited funds, and as a drop out of her fine art degree, Paris opened the Derby store of GGG Jewellery Co at 22 in 2016.
From that day in 2016, GGG Jewellery Co has existed in the heart of Derby as its leading alternative fine Jewellers.
Chris joined the company in 2018 as GGG's Lead Smith & Designer. Chris, Paris’ then partner and now husband, had a career in sculpture, fine art and casting before working with Paris - to which he was able to transfer his knowledge and skills into a career creating fine jewellery at GGG.
Lowri, our lead Smith, joined the team in 2020, bringing with her an excellent knowledge on jewellery making and her talents as a designer and maker. Paris' aim is to make the GGG team female led, self taught fine jewellers.
Our collections are completely designed by us in house and then traditionally carved and cast in house by us, and finished by our team of smiths.
We built our own workshop in our Derby store by hand, and we make sure that everything we create is only created with ethically sourced precious metals and gemstones we can find. As and when we can, we like to stick to being a vegan friendly brand.
All of our packaging is recyclable and vegan friendly.
GGG Jewellery Co has had the opportunities of travelling the UK doing events nationwide, such as Leeds Tattoo Convention. We created a pop up store in Afflecks Palace in Manchester in 2017. We have had the honour of creating a full collection for Alnwick Poison Garden and have released over 6 collections in just under two years with a more to come.
GGG Jewellery Co is ran in memory of the people who inspired us most - Terry Williams, John & Hazel Fletcher, and last but certainly not least, Mama Valerie Slack.
