FAQ

Everything we create is designed by us by hand, wax carved and cast by us in our workshop - and cast using traditional smithing methods. We don't mass produce, and we create everything ourselves. We're a team of 3 independently trained smiths and designers.

Our team are artists at heart, and we were taught our craft using traditional methods and plan on doing this forever.

We create everything by hand -  each piece is completely one of a kind in the way that each piece has been lovingly made and finished by one of our smiths.
In a world of computers and 3D designing software, we like to do it old school.

Everything is handmade by us with love and care by our small team in our Derbyshire Workshop located in the United Kingdom.

  • Silver Care Information

All silver tarnishes naturally over time, it's just in its nature! To help prevent tarnishing, it is advised to keep your jewellery away from harsh chemical, creams, perfume, chlorine etc.

Please ensure you remove any jewellery before showering, swimming, washing up etc as all these things will cause your jewellery to tarnish.

  • How long will it take to receive my item?

Each piece is handmade and made to order so please allow up to 8 weeks + for us to create your piece. Please double check our Order Notes page for an up to date wait time.

UK orders should arrive 1-2 business days after your order has been dispatched.

International orders can take up to 2 weeks+ after dispatch. Tracking numbers can be provided when requested.

  • What are the different postage options?

Currently we offer free standard shipping. We are located in the UK so please bare that in mind whilst ordering, and if ordering from abroad at the moment there is severe delays in posting so please be aware before placing your order.

If standard shipping (£4.50) is selected at the checkout your item(s) will be posted via second class signed for and will NOT be insured.

If express shipping (£8) is selected at the checkout your item(s) will be sent out via first class, tracked and signed for and WILL be insured for up to £500.

if Free Collection is selected, your order will be ready to collect when you receive the ‘order dispatched’ email.

The collection address is: GGG Jewellery Co, 10 Strand Arcade, Derby DE1 1BQ.

PLEASE NOTE: once your piece has left us and is in the hands of the Royal Mail, it is no longer GGG Jewellery Co’s responsibility if lost, stolen or damaged in the postal system hence the option for insured shipping. Tracking numbers and proof of postage will always be available upon request.

Please make sure to double check your address and that all details are correct before ordering as these cannot be amended.

  •  I ordered the wrong size/it doesn’t fit! what now?

Resizing is available - please return your jewellery to us and we can resize to fit.
Resizing charges may apply.

  • The piece of jewellery I ordered has turned my finger green/black! What do I do?

Dont worry! Even 925 Sterling Silver reacts differently with each individual. Any colour is simply a chemical reaction!

A reaction can occur if the ring is exposed to different creams, sweat, chemicals etc or simply if your body reacts. To minimise this, we ask all our customers to remove their jewellery when dealing with various chemicals - if you can’t, give your jewellery a wipe with a silver cloth and a quick clean regularity.

  • Can I get a refund?
/ Can I cancel my order?

All jewellery is custom made to order and customised to fit each individual.

This means made to order rings are non-refundable and non returnable as part of our policies. Once the order is placed, we cannot cancel orders; We class all of our jewellery as made to order.

As such a small independent business we cannot accept order cancellations once the order has been placed as we hand craft each piece to order, please bare this in mind before ordering.

Earrings, due to hygiene reasons, are also non refundable.

If the item is damaged or faulty beyond repair you have 30 days from proof of purchase to return for an exchange or credit note.
